Respite Care

For many, the challenges of caring for an elderly family member are simply part of daily life. Caregiving, however, is a demanding job, and taking a break can be a positive step for both the caregiver and his or her loved one.

Vassar-Warner Home’s respite care program is designed to give primary caregivers a break from daily caregiving, allowing time to rest, travel or attend to personal matters.

What is Respite Care?

Our respite program offers temporary, substitute care for individuals who require assistance, providing caregivers time to reduce stress and maintain their own health. Stays at Vassar-Warner Home can be reserved for a minimum of two nights, or as long as needed. Your loved ones will receive compassionate care, engaging activities and social engagement in a safe environment with attentive 24-hour staff.

Accommodations are based on availability and the guest’s ability to meet admission guidelines. We will set up an evaluation for each individual to ensure we are able to care for them safely.
